CHICKEN ROSEMARY | |
1 c. chicken 2 slices lemon 1/2 c. chopped scallions green onions 1/2 c. red or green bell pepper 1 stick butter 1/4 tsp. rosemary 1/4 tsp. salt & pepper 1/4 tsp. season salt & poultry seasoning 1. Cut up chicken of chicken halves. Wash and drain. 2. Season chicken with salt and pepper to taste (salt optional). Place in shallow cooking dish with 2 slices of lemon. Put in oven at 400 degrees for about 10 minutes. 3. Make butter baste to pour on chicken. Saute scallions and peppers in a saucepan. Add the stick of butter, rosemary and poultry seasoning. Pour over chicken in oven. Bake until done at 325-350 degrees. Rosemary is a traditional Jewish seasoning. |
