BARBECUED SPARERIBS 
4 pounds spareribs
3 large onions
3 large cloves garlic, minced
1 cup ketchup
1 cup water
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon paprika
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
4 tablespoons vinegar
4 tablespoons brown sugar
2 1/4 teaspoons dry mustard

Cut spareribs into serving-sized pieces, then brown in a Dutch oven or roasting pan over low beat. Combine other ingredients and pour over the ribs in pan.

Cover and bake for 90 minutes in a preheated 350°F oven.

Every 20 to 30 minutes, baste the ribs with sauce while cooking. Remove cover during the last 15 minutes of cooking time.
