MICROWAVE APPLESAUCE 
4 c. peeled & sliced tart apples
1/2 c. water
1/4 to 1/2 c. sugar (white or brown)
1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
Dash of nutmeg

Place all ingredients in 1 quart covered casserole. Microwave at high (100%) until apples are tender, 7 to 10 minutes. Mash apples to desired consistency. Serve warm or chilled.

Apples may be left in "chunky consistency". Depending on firmness and type of apple used, more or less water, sugar may be used.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
