BACON, EGG, POTATO CASSEROLE | |
This is a recipe I have been cooking for years, and is an all time family favourite! This is so easy, the ingredients will just depend on what dish you use. 6 large potatoes 6 boiled eggs 300gm diced bacon or about 5 rashers bacon 3 tbsp butter or marg 7 tbsp flour (any sort) breadcrumbs, for sprinkling (optional) 2 cups milk Basically all we do is: Peel the potatoes and boil until all but done; cool and slice. Boil the eggs, cool and slice. Fry the diced bacon or bacon pieces. In a casserole dish, layer the sliced potatoes, sliced boiled eggs, and then the bacon. When finished, prepare a white sauce and pour over dish, then sprinkle some breadcrumbs on the top, if desired. Cook in oven for about 30mins at about 375-400°F (200C). I don't have any doubt that your family or guests will not rave about this, so simple, things we cook everyday, but together it is a winner! |
