BEEF STROGANOFF 
1 1/2 lb. beef steak
3 tbsp. oil
3 tbsp. vinegar
1/4 c. butter
1 lg. onion, sliced
1/2 lb. mushrooms, sliced
1/2 c. dry sherry
1/4 c. water
2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 c. sour cream
Cooked rice or noodles

Cut beef into 1/2 inch strips, put in bowl, pour oil and vinegar over beef. Marinate for several hours, mixing frequently. Drain beef, melt butter in large skillet. Saute beef, onions and mushrooms over high heat until beef is browned. Stir in sherry, water, salt and pepper. Bring to a boil. Then simmer for 5 minutes. Remove from heat and quickly stir in sour cream. Serve with rice or noodles. Serves 4-6.
