EASY HOMEMADE FLOUR TORTILLAS
3 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp. salt
1/3 cup vegetable oil
1 cup warm water

Combine all the flour, salt, vegetable oil, and water until it forms a dough.

Roll the dough into a big ball and take about an 1 to 2 inch pieces off. Pat the dough flat with your hands or take a rolling pin and roll into circles.

Put the dough on a flat pan on the stove and let the sides cook until there are little brown specks on both sides like you would see on other tortillas.

Thank you for the great recipe. I ordered a tortilla press to make these, but it didn't come in time for my party tomorrow. I used my kitchen aid pasta roller to roll them out. It was so fast and easy. I highly recommend it!

This works great. I used canola oil and sea salt. For flour I put in 1 cup wheat flour and 2 cups all purpose. My family really enjoyed these. I will be making these again soon.

If you take half done tortillas and hang them over TWO wires on your oven rack, cook them till they are golden on low heat. And, voilą, a flat bottom taco shell. Easy to fill.

I find it works better if you use melted butter instead of vegetable oil but they are amazing either way.
