STRAWBERRY DESSERT 
1 stick butter
1 c. flour
1/4 c. light brown sugar
1/2 c. chopped walnuts or peanuts

Mix until crumbly. Put in shallow roasting pan. Don't pack. Bake at 400 degrees for 15 minutes. Watch and stir until golden. Cool. Crumble with fork.

FILLING:

In large bowl combine 1 pound package of strawberries (thawed), 2 egg whites, 1/2 cup sugar, 1 teaspoon vanilla. Beat 10 to 15 minutes on high speed until doubles in volume and comes to top of bowl. In small bowl whip 1 cup heavy cream; fold into filling with whisk. Put 1/2 crumb mixture on bottom of 9 x 13 Pyrex dish; then filling; then other half of crumb mixture.

Freeze covered with Saran Wrap. Can be decorated with whipped cream and fresh strawberries.
