FRESH VEGETABLE MARINADE 
4 stalks broccoli, break into florets or 4 zucchini, sliced
8 lg. mushrooms, sliced or halved
1 med. green pepper, diced
3 stalks celery, sliced
1 sm. cauliflower, in florets
3 carrots, sliced and parboiled
1 red onion, sliced

MARINADE:

1 c. sugar
2 tsp. dry mustard
1 tsp. salt
1/2 c. vinegar
1 c. oil
2 tsp. poppy seeds

Prepare marinade first. Combine all ingredients for marinade, mix well. Prepare vegetables. Pour marinade over vegetables. Chill at least 3 hours. Makes 1 gallon.
