APPLE BREAD PUDDING | |
6 slices cubed bread 3/4 c. sugar (or 1 c. if apples require) 3 eggs 3 tbsp. butter 1 tsp. cinnamon 2 c. sliced apples 3 c. milk 1 tsp. vanilla 1 c. raisins, if desired Heat milk to scalding. Add butter. Cool, then add to beaten eggs and sugar. Add bread, cinnamon and vanilla. Stir well. Fold in sliced apples (and raisins, if you want). Bake in appropriate sized baking dish (Mine is 12 x 7 1/2 x 2) at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. (I have only tried this with golden delicious. Plan to try Granny Smith apples.) |
