1/2 c. butter
1 c. sugar
1 3/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. nutmeg and cinnamon
1 c. oatmeal
1 c. applesauce
1 egg
1 small pkg. chocolate chips
1/2 c. nuts
1 tbsp. baking soda

Cream butter, sugar and egg. Mix dry ingredients and add 1/4 to 1/2 to creamed mixture. Then add applesauce and rest of flour mixture. Add chocolate chips and nuts.

Bake at 375°F until dropped cookies just turn brown.
