“SOFT CUSTARD SAUCE” IS IN:
NEXT RECIPE:  SPICY RAISIN FROSTING

SOFT CUSTARD SAUCE 
1 tbsp. all-purpose flour
dash of salt
1/2 cup Eagle Brand sweetened condensed milk
1 1/2 cups hot water
1 egg yolk, slightly beaten
1/2 tsp. vanilla

Blend flour, salt, and sweetened condensed milk.

Add hot water gradually, blending well.

Add small amount of mixture to egg yolk, stir- ring vigorously. Add remainder of mixture.

Cook in top of double boiler, over boiling water, stirring constantly until slightly thickened (5 to 7 minutes). Remove from heat. Add vanilla.

Serve on cottage pudding, etc.

Makes about 2 cups.
