BELLE'S BLACK BEAN DIP | |
1 (10 oz.) can black bean soup 1/4 tsp. sea salt (or 1/2 tsp. taco seasoning) 1/4 tsp. Tabasco 1 large onion, minced 3 cloves garlic, finely minced or pressed 1 tsp. chili powder 1 cup grated Cheddar or Jack cheese 1/4 cup grated or pureed Jalapeno or Poblano pepper Combine all ingredients, mixing together well. A blender may be used. If you like a little extra texture, add peppers last and pulse a few times, leaving the dip chunky. Some diced ripe tomatoes (about 1/2 cup) can also be added for extra texture, if desired, as a variation. Season to taste before serving with your favorite chips or veggies.
