MICROWAVE QUICK APPLE PIE | |
1/4 c. sugar 2 tbsp. flour 2 tsp. grated lemon peel 1 tsp. cinnamon 7-8 c. sliced apples 1 tsp. lemon juice Pastry for 2-crust 9-inch pie Combine sugar, flour, lemon peel and cinnamon, toss with apples and lemon juice. Turn into pastry-lined microwave-proof pie plate. Adjust crust on top, flute edges, cut vents. Micro-cook on high (100%) 10 to 12 minutes or until filling is bubbly. Bake at 425 degrees in preheated oven for 10-15 minutes or until golden. VARIATION: Sprinkle 4 oz. (1 cup) shredded Cheddar cheese over apples before adjusting top crust. |
