CHOCOLATE DREAM PIE 
FILLING:

4 squares unsweetened chocolate
2 c. milk
1/4 c. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
3 egg yolks
1 tsp. vanilla
2 tbsp. butter
Pre-baked pie shell

MERINGUE:

3 egg whites
1/4 c. sugar
1 tsp. cream of tartar

In saucepan, bring chocolate, milk, flour and salt to rolling boil. Let continue to boil 2 minutes. Mix 1 tablespoon of chocolate mix with egg yolks and then return yolk mixture to pan and continue to boil 2 more minutes. Remove from heat and stir in butter and vanilla. Place mixture in refrigerator to cool.

Meringue:

Beat egg whites with cream of tartar until frothy. Gradually add sugar, beating until mixture is stiff.

Pour filling into pre-baked pie shell. Add meringue. Bake 350 degrees for 10 minutes or until peaks of meringue are nicely browned.

Serve when pie is very cold.
