CHOCOLATE CHIP PECAN PIE 
1 unbaked 9 inch pie shell
1 (6 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips (1 c.)
2 c. pecan halves
1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 c. dark corn syrup
3 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
Whipped cream for garnish

Heat oven to 375 degrees. Sprinkle chocolate chips over bottom of pie crust lined pan; top with pecan halves. In small bowl, combine brown sugar, corn syrup, eggs, and vanilla; beat well. Pour over pecans. Bake at 375 degrees for 25-35 minutes or until top is golden brown. Cool. Garnish with a dollop of whipped cream. Store in refrigerator. 8 servings.

Yes I made this last year and it is so good. Was a hit with my family. Also if you do refrigerate, to make it in advance, let them know to nuke it in microwave for 15 or 20 seconds and top with vanilla ice cream. Yummmy!
