FRIED RED CABBAGE | |
1 sm. to med. head red cabbage, shredded 3 med. onions, sliced 1/2 lb. bacon 4-5 apples Fry bacon until crisp in large fry pan. Remove bacon. Set aside. Fry onions in bacon grease. Add shredded cabbage and cook until tender, covered. When cabbage is about half done, add apples, cut in slices. Add vinegar, salt and pepper to taste. Add crumbled bacon. Excellent served with pork roast. |
