FILLED COOKIES 
3 cups sugar
1 1/2 cups shortening
3 eggs
1 1/2 cups milk
6 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
4 tsp. cream of tartar
2 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. vanilla

Combine ingredients. Roll until thin. Cut cookies. Place on tin and put filling between 2 cookies.

Bake at 350°F for 15 minutes or until golden brown.

Raisin filling:

1/2 pkg. raisins
1 1/2 cups water
1 1/2 cups sugar
1 tbsp. all-purpose flour

Mix in saucepan and cook until thick.
