BEST EVER BANANA BREAD | |
1 c. butter 3 c. sugar 6 eggs 3 c. sour cream 4 tsp. baking soda 2 tsp. vanilla 4 to 5 bananas, mashed 1 tsp. salt 5 c. flour Cream together butter, sugar and eggs. Mix sour cream and soda together in bowl and let stand until foamy. Add the rest of the ingredients to the above mixtures and mix well. Place into 4 greased and floured 9 x 5-inch bread pans or into 12 prepared mini loaf pans. Sprinkle lightly with sugar just before baking. Bake at 350°F for 50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Note: You may add 1 cup of chopped nuts to the batter if you wish. You may also use Egg Beaters, low-fat sour cream and butter. This is a very moist bread recipe which makes a lot and freezes well. |
