PEANUT BUTTER BRAN MUFFINS 
1 1/2 c. Nabisco 100% Bran
1 1/2 c. milk
1/2 c. creamy peanut butter
1 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 c. firmly packed light brown sugar
1 tbsp. baking powder
1/4 c. butter or melted butter
1 egg, beaten
1/4 c. salted peanuts, chopped
Jelly or preserves, optional

In medium bowl combine bran and milk; let stand 5 minutes. Stir in peanut butter. In large bowl, combine flour, brown sugar and baking powder; stir in bran mixture, butter and egg just until blended. Fill 12 greased 2 1/2-inch muffin pan cups. Sprinkle with peanuts. Press lightly into batter.

Bake at 400 degrees for 20-25 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Remove from pan; cool slightly. Serve muffins with jelly or preserves if desired.
