FREEZER COLESLAW | |
1 med. head cabbage 1 tsp. salt 1 grated carrot 1 green pepper 1 c. vinegar 1/2 c. water 2 c. sugar 1 tsp. whole mustard seeds 1 tsp. whole celery seeds Shred cabbage, mix with salt and let stand 1 hour. Add carrots and green pepper. Combine vinegar, water, sugar, mustard seeds and celery seeds. Boil 1 minute. Cool to lukewarm. Pour over slaw. Put into containers and freeze. Slaw will thaw in a short time. When removed from freezer it can be re-frozen. |
