FREEZER SLAW | |
3 med. heads of cabbage, shredded 4 c. sugar 1 c. water 1 tbsp. salt 2 c. vinegar 3 green peppers 1 bunch celery 1 tbsp. mustard seed 1 tbsp. celery seed Add salt to cabbage and let stand for 2 hours. Squeeze out water with hands. Mix sugar, vinegar and water. Boil for 5 minutes and cool. Add remaining ingredients to cabbage. Pour cold syrup over cabbage mixture and let stand for 24 hours. Put in containers and freeze. |
