FREEZER SLAW | |
3 lb. cabbage, finely chopped 2 med. sweet peppers (1 red & 1 green for color) 1 lg. or 2 med. onions 1 c. cooking oil 1 c. vinegar 1 heaping c. sugar 1 tbsp. salt 1-2 tbsp. celery seed Mix oil, vinegar, sugar, salt and celery seed and bring to a boil. Pour over chopped vegetables. Pack in containers and freeze. This will keep in refrigerator for several weeks, or after it has been frozen, it will keep in refrigerator indefinitely. Great on hot dogs! |
