HEALTHY GROUND TURKEY LETTUCE WRAPS | |
2 lb. ground turkey 1 medium onion 1 tbsp. minced garlic 1/2 tbsp. soy sauce 2 tbsp. balsamic vinegar 1 tbsp. ginger paste 1 (8 oz.) can sliced water chestnuts 2 tsp. sesame seeds 1 tsp. cumin 1 tsp. ground coriander 1 tsp. salt 1 tsp. pepper 1 head of lettuce In a medium size wok, throw in the the onions (sliced or chopped) however you prefer. Lightly brown the onions and throw in the garlic. Quickly throw in the ground turkey and begin to brown it. As that is cooking throw in the cumin, coriander, salt and pepper. Once the meat is brown, throw in the soy sauce, balsamic, and the ginger paste. Stir it up a bit and throw in the water chestnuts and sesame seeds. Stir it and let it simmer for a few minutes. Take the turkey mixture off the heat. Let it cool a bit before serving. When you are ready to eat it, spoon some of the mixture into a leaf of bib lettuce, wrap it like a taco and enjoy!
