WHOLE WHEAT RAISIN BREAD | |
1 1/2 c. milk 1/4 c. honey 1/2 c. butter 2 pkgs. yeast 1/2 c. warm water 2 lg. eggs 2 c. whole wheat flour 1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon 1 tsp. salt 4 c. + all-purpose flour 1 1/2 c. raisins Scald milk; add honey and butter. Stir and cool. Dissolve yeast in water. Set aside 5 minutes. Put wheat flour, cinnamon, salt in bowl. Add milk, yeast and eggs. Mix and beat until smooth. Add all-purpose flour as needed. Knead. Put in greased bowl, cover, raise until doubled. Punch down. Knead in raisins. Place in bowl and raise until doubled. Shape into 2 loaves. Put in loaf pans. Raise until doubled. Bake at 375 degrees for 30 to 35 minutes. |
