1 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
3/4 c. butter
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 egg
2 1/2 c. oats
1 1/2 c. coarsely chopped vanilla flavored coating (secret ingredient!)
1/2 c. nuts

Stir together flour and soda. Beat butter. Add sugars and egg beat well. Add flour mixture. Stir in oats and vanilla pieces and nuts. Bake at 375 degrees.
