APPLE BREAD 
1/4 c. (1/2 stick) butter
1 c. sugar
1 egg
2 tbsp. sour milk*
2 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
2 apples, peeled and chopped

Topping:

1 tbsp. butter
2 tbsp. all-purpose flour
2 tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon

Mix first 8 ingredients. Stir in apples. Pour into greased bread pan. Mix last 4 ingredients and sprinkle on top.

Bake at 350°F for 1 hour.

Note: To make sour milk, add 2 tablespoons vinegar to 2 cups regular milk and let stand 5 minutes.
