POTATO AND HAM MICROWAVE SCALLOP 
3/4 lb. potatoes, thinly slied (2 med.)
6 oz. ham, thinly sliced and cut into 2 inch pieces
3 tbsp. chopped onion
1 tbsp. flour
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/8 to 1/4 tsp. salt
3 tbsp. shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 c. skim milk

Line bottom of greased 5-6 cup shallow microwave and oven-safe dish with a third of the potatoes and a third of the ham. Sprinkle with a third of the onion. Mix flour, pepper and salt; sprinkle a third over ingredients in the dish. Repeat layers twice. Top with cheese; pour milk over all.

Cover with plastic wrap, venting one side. Microwave on high 4 minutes. Rotate a quarter turn; microwave on high 2 minutes. Remove wrap; microwave on high 2-4 minutes longer until potatoes are tender. Place under broiler about 2 minutes to brown lightly. Makes 2 main dish servings.

This recipe was tested in a 700 watt microwave oven. Adjust time according to your oven.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
