FRITTERS AND MAPLE SYRUP 
2 c. water
1 tbsp. butter
1 tbsp. sugar
2 c. flour
1 1/4 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
4 eggs
Oil

Place water, butter and sugar in saucepan. Bring to a boil. Lower heat and quickly stir in flour, baking powder and salt. Remove from heat. Let cool a little. While still warm, beat in eggs, one by one, with electric beater or fork. Heat oil in pan or deep fryer to 375 degrees. Drop dough by the teaspoonful into oil. When dough is three times the size, take out and serve with maple syrup. Yields 6 dozen.
