BARBECUED PEANUTS | |
A fun snack for football gatherings, movie night, game night, road trips, or whenever your heart desires. I imagine other varieties of nuts would work well too, such as roasted pecans, cashews, or a mixed variety. You can also purchase some decorative jars and fill with the nuts; add a festive ribbon and give as gifts! 1/3 cup barbecue sauce 2 tablespoons butter, melted 1 teaspoon garlic powder 1/4-1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper 1 (16 oz.) jar dry roasted peanuts In a large bowl, combine barbecue sauce, butter, garlic powder, and cayenne pepper. Add peanuts; stir until evenly coated. Transfer to a greased 13x9x2-inch baking pan. Bake, uncovered, at 325°F for 25 to 30 minutes, stirring every 10 minutes. Spread on waxed paper; cool completely. Store in an airtight container. Makes 3 cups. Submitted by: Carol |
