GERMAN POTATO SALAD 
1/2 lb. bacon
1 med. onion, sliced
2 tbsp. flour
1/2 c. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. salt
Dash of pepper
1/2 c. vinegar
1 c. water
6 c. peeled, sliced, and cooked potatoes
4 sliced hard boiled eggs
Parsley
Chopped, canned pimento

Cook bacon until crisp; drain and crumble the bacon, reserving 1/4 cup fat. Cook onion until tender. Blend in flour, sugar, salt, and pepper. Add water and vinegar. Cook and stir until mixture is thick and bubbly. Add bacon, potatoes, and eggs. Heat thoroughly, tossing lightly. Garnish with parsley and pimento.
