2 1/2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking ammonia (ammonium carbonate) (this may be purchased at drug store)

Sift into a large mixing bowl.

1/2 c. butter
1 c. Crisco (or butter)
2 c. sugar

Cream together. Add to sifted ingredients.

1 c. coconut

Add to mixture and mix thoroughly. Roll in small balls (use level teaspoon). Place on cookie sheet 1 1/2 inches apart. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes. Sprinkle or roll in powdered sugar. Yield - approximately 9 dozen.
