FAVORITE ROAST LEG OF LAMB 
Get fresh lamb leg (helps to know butcher). Place in pan to be used for baking. Put sliced onion on top of lamb and baste with the following marinade for 30 minutes, or until meat looks well basted;

1/2 c. olive oil
1/4 c. lemon juice
Salt, thyme & marjoram to taste

Cover with aluminum foil. Refrigerate overnight, basting occasionally. Take out of refrigerator 1 hour before cooking. Baste until room temperature. Bake as usual, surrounded by new potatoes. Baste as needed. This is even delicious cold.
