I tried the recipe. It turned out great. Instead of regular milk I used 1/4 cup of Half&Half and 1/4 cup of water. I added some leftover ham. It was great. Thank you. :)

I made this with the stuffing on top, my family loooooooved it, it was very easy to make with stuff we already had anyway, next time I'll try the chips also, that sounds good..;)

Use whole-wheat pasta, 2% milkfat cheddar cheese, and 98% fat-free mushroom soup to make the recipe healthier. Can add veggies as suggested to kick it up a notch.

Very good except 3 cups of noodles doesn't seem correct. In other tuna casserole recipes it calls for 8 oz (6 cups) of noodles for the same proportion of tuna fish and cream of mushroom soup that this recipe calls for. So, I doubled the noodles and it turned out perfect. It might taste fine with only half a bag of egg noodles, but my family loves anything pasta.

Thanks for the quick and easy recipe. I did add peas, but no chips. Might try that next time along with some of the other suggestions. I did have french fried onions on hand so we coud shake them on top after plating.

Let's kick this up a notch or two! Yes, add peas (broccoli is a nice alternative, too)! Swap out the American cheese for Monterey Jack, Colby, or Colby Jack. And if you want to go Italian, try Provolone. Top off with handfuls of French's fried onions --- the very same used in the Thanksgiving Green Bean Casserole. Adds some zesty crunch!

OK, I put peas in the mix and I tried shredded cheese and crumbled chips on top. It was superb!!! It was my first casserole and I was impressed. My only question is..should the chips go on before or after baking? I did it before and it still turned out..however I was told they should go on after.

Agree with Katie. mom used to make it with peas and the MUST have crunched potato chips. Brings back memories of 60yrs ago.
