LEMON SAUCE FOR BREAD PUDDING | |
1/2 c. sugar 2 tsp. cornstarch 1/4 c. butter 2 tsp. grated lemon peel Dash of salt 1/4 c. lemon juice 1 c. water Combine sugar, cornstarch, and water in a small pan. Bring to a boil, stirring until smooth, stir constantly. Reduce heat to simmer, stirring until thickened. Remove from heat. Stir in butter, lemon peel and lemon juice. Cool slightly, serve over bread pudding. |
