“BELLE'S PEPPER STEAK” IS IN:

BELLE'S PEPPER STEAK 
1 1/2 lb. round steak, cubed
2 tsp. olive oil
salt, pepper and garlic powder, to taste
1 tsp. sugar
2 tbsp. vinegar
3 tbsp. soy sauce
1 cup beef broth or water
1 cup green pepper, diced
1 cup onion, diced
3 cloves garlic,
1 cup celery, diced
2 fresh tomatoes, diced

Cube steak and brown in oil. Add salt, pepper, garlic powder, sugar, vinegar, soy sauce and water. Cook slowly, covered, about 1 1/2 hours. Add green pepper, onion, garlic and celery and cook about 10 minutes. Add tomatoes.

Serve over cooked rice with soy sauce or use as sandwich filling: Stuff a sub roll with pepper steak and top with shredded cheese, such as Provolone, Cheddar or Mozzarella and run under the broiler.
