MOM'S EASY CHERRY PINEAPPLE CAKE 
All ingredients are spread evenly in layers.

1 (21 oz.) can cherry pie filling
1 (20 oz.) can crushed pineapple in juice
1 box yellow cake mix (dry)
1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, melted
1 (8 oz.) bag walnuts (or pecans), crushed
1 (8 oz.) bag coconut flakes

Preheat oven to 350°F.

In a large bowl mix cherry pie filling and crushed pineapple. Spread cherry/pineapple mixture in bottom of 13x9-inch pan. Add layer of yellow dry cake mix. Pour melted butter over top of cake mix. Add layer of crushed walnuts or pecans. Add layer of dry coconut flakes.

Cover with aluminum foil and bake at 350°F for a half hour. Remove foil and bake an additional half hour. Let cool for 10 to 20 minutes.

Serve with whipped cream topping or vanilla ice cream. Great reheated!
