Sorry mine turned out grainy too, but I let mine boil three minutes, and from the way it looked I think my next batch I'm going to try two minutes boil time.

This is the best peanut butter fudge. It is quick and easy, and it requires way less sugar than my other recipes.

I just made this and it is so good! I always counted on my sister to make my PB fudge because I thought I would always mess it up. Now I can make it on my own :) THANK YOU!

Great recipe!!! I chose to substitute a 1/2 cup of brown in and reduced the white sugar down to 1 1/2, but that's just becuase I had it and love brown sugar! Super easy and not gritty at all. Make sure you keep the milk and sugar mixture scraped down (not stuck to side of pan) while boiling... could be why some people are getting a gritty end product. Finally a REAL peanut butter fudge, not the melted down peanut butter chip kind!!! You can really taste the difference! Also, if you want to make it into an incredible candy... pour into a muffin pan to desired thickness to cool, once set dip into melted chocolate and place on wax paper to cool. Homemade peanut butter cups! YUM!

Yes, it is grainy. Amazingly simple though!

I believe, in the South, we get only cane sugar, which is known to make candies grainy. Instructions did not imply stirring is needed, which I believe is another thing that can cause graininess. Will try again and stir while boiling to see if that makes a difference.
