A & R BARBECUE SPAGHETTI | |
From A&R restaurant on Elvis Presley Blvd. in Memphis, TN. 4 cups spaghetti sauce 2 cups barbecue sauce 1 tablespoon chili powder 2 tablespoons brown sugar 1/2 lb. cooked pork or beef, chopped 1 lb. spaghetti grated Parmesan cheese (optional) In a medium saucepan, combine spaghetti sauce, barbecue sauce, chili powder, and brown sugar. Cook over low heat, stirring occasionally, for 30 minutes. Add chopped pork or beef to sauce; cover and cook 30 minutes longer. Meanwhile, boil spaghetti al denté and drain. Pour the sauce over the cooked spaghetti and serve with grated Parmesan cheese if desired. Note: Add crushed red pepper flakes for a little heat or try with other hearty pastas such as rigatoni or mostaccioli. Submitted by: Carol |
