Am going to try this - but add a couple tablespoons of a thick fruit jam/preserves... such as Raspberry or Strawberry. This has to be a hit with all the fantastic reviews... Thanks to the person submitted this.

As a kid we had a syrup my mom made in the south called chocolate syrup..same simple recipe.just add 2 teaspoons of Coco powder and thicken with corn starch.goes great on homemade biscuits or waffles.

We make this a lot with 4 kids. The longer you boil the thicker it gets. I also add vanilla. Love it!

My Mom made this syrup when I was a kid! So delicious! If you prefer it a little thicker just boil it longer until you get your desired thickness.

Tastes good but I wish I knew how to get it thicker. I'll work on that but I mashed up berries and poured the syrup over them to give it density. It was delicious.

Hi everyone. Well basically we had pancakes tonight but no syrup, lol! I looked online for an easy recipe to make homemade syrup and I came across this one. I figured why not. Only need three ingredients which I had of course and boy let me tell ya I'm in love with this syrup. It is by far the best syrup I have ever tasted in my life. I give this 5 stars and will always use this from now on.

Usually have maple syrup on hand but not this morning. Soooooo Had pancakes in the pan before I realized so I was committed.. Turned to my handy IPad found this great recipe.. just added a little vanilla and butter after it was removed from heat. Was a bit thin so next time will add less water.. yummy my family didn't even notice..
