2/3 c. butter
1 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. cloves (ground)
1 tsp. cinnamon (ground)
1/2 c. chopped dates
1/2 c. chopped nuts (pecans or walnuts)

Put on baking sheet. Top with 1/2 cherry. Bake 350 degrees about 15 minutes.
