4 lg. yams (fresh or canned) 4 lg. green apples 1/2 c. brown sugar Pinch of cloves 4 tbsp. butter Cook yams until tender, peel and cut into 1/4 inch slices. Peel and core apples and cut into thin slices. Place in buttered casserole alternate slices, sprinkle each layer with the brown sugar and cloves. Cover casserole and bake in 350 degree oven for 35 minutes. Yields 6 servings. I would have to have a scoop of whipped cream. |
