CHOCOLATE COVERED CHERRIES 
1 c. Eagle Brand milk
1/2 lb. butter
2 1/2 tbsp. white Karo syrup
3 lbs. powdered sugar
2 or 3 drops vanilla
6 jars cherries with stems
1 bag chocolate chips
1 bar Gulf wax

Melt butter and mix with milk. Add Karo and vanilla. Sift in sugar. Mix well with hands until about the consistency of play-dough. Make small balls, punch thumb in them, put cherry in the hole, and press mixture all around the cherry. Hold by stem and dip into chocolate. Sit on waxed paper to harden.

CHOCOLATE: In double boiler pour 1 bag chips and shave up bar of wax, let melt. If chocolate gets thick while dipping, just reheat.
