ELLIE'S GRANDMA'S ZUCCHINI
COOKIES
 
3/4 c. butter
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. grated zucchini
2 1/2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. almonds, coarsely chopped
1 (6 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
Powdered sugar

Cream butter and sugar; beat in egg and vanilla. Stir in zucchini, flour, baking powder, cinnamon and salt. Add almonds and chocolate chips. Drop by heaping teaspoon onto greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool on wire rack. Sift powdered sugar over cookies. Yield: 4 to 5 dozen.
