TORTILLA BAKE | |
1 lb. ground beef 1 med. onion, chopped 1 clove garlic, minced 2 cans (8 oz. each) tomato sauce 1 1/2 c. water 2 tbsp. chili powder 1/4 tsp. salt 1 sm. carton sour cream 9 corn tortillas 2 c. sharp Cheddar cheese, grated 1 sm. can chopped ripe olives Brown meat with onion and garlic. Add tomato sauce, water, chili powder and salt. Simmer twenty minutes. Spread tortillas with sour cream. Arrange 3 tortillas over about 1/4 of meat mixture overlapping, if necessary. Sprinkle with 1/3 of cheese. Continue adding meat sauce, tortillas and cheese layers ending with meat sauce. Top with ripe olives. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes. Served with a tossed salad, this makes a complete meal. |
