1/2 c. butter
3/4 c. sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt

Cream butter and sugar, add egg, then vanilla. Sift dry ingredients and add slowly. Chill 2 hours. Roll out 1/4 inch thick on a floured board, cut, sprinkle with sugar. Bake at 350 degrees for 11 minutes.
