MAMA'S FAVORITE ICE BOX COOKIES 
2 c. dark brown sugar
1 c. butter (oleo)
2 eggs
3 3/4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. or more chopped pecans

Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs, 1 at a time. Add flour with soda added to it. Work into a stiff dough. Roll into a log shape and wrap in waxed paper. Chill in refrigerator until firm. Cut into thin slies and put on cookie sheet. Press tops with a fork to make a design on top. Bake in 350 degree oven for 8 to 10 minutes.
