2 c. brown sugar
1/2 lb. butter
2 eggs
3 1/2 c. flour
3 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. vanilla extract
3 tsp. nutmeg, optional
1 c. pecans

Mix with mixer, in order, until stiff. Then use hands or spoon to mix until mixed thoroughly. Spoon onto strips of waxed paper and form into roll, wrap in paper. Freeze or refrigerate until firm. Slice and bake. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes or until brown.
