SQUASH BALLS 
1 egg
1/2 c. buttermilk
1 medium onion, chopped
1/4 c. flour
2 c. cooked squash
3/4 c. self-rising meal

Beat egg; add milk, onions and squash. Mix well. Add flour and cornmeal together and stir into squash mixture. Spoon squash mixture into a little ball and drop into hot grease. Cook until brown.
