MOLASSES NUT BRITTLE 
1 c. light molasses, dark Karo or half & half
1 c. white sugar
1 tbsp. butter
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 c. chopped nuts

Cook molasses, sugar and butter over low heat in skillet until very brittle when dropped into cold water or 300 degrees on a candy thermometer. Stir constantly, remove from heat, add soda and vanilla. Beat until foaming stops. Pour over nuts. (Peanuts, walnuts or filberts.)
