HAMBURGER MAC & CHEESE
CASSEROLE.
 
1 1/2 lbs lean ground beef
1 can Campbell's onion soup
2 med size garlic cloves
2-3 cups elbow macaroni
Various cheese slices or block cheese: American, cheddar, Swiss Velveta or what ever you have.

Brown ground beef in oven-proof frying pan along with minced garlic cloves. When meat is browned, drain, put on med heat, add one can Campbell's onion soup*. Stir. Then start adding any cheeses you have on hand in small pieces until it is all melted, adding cheese until making a cheesy meat sauce. No set amount, any of the above cheeses will do, mixed together, or a single type cheese will also work. Stir cheese and meat sauce well. and put on low heat Different cheeses will impart a unique flavor. Cheese slices work well.

*Note: Dry onion soup can be used but the amount of water required on the package must be added.

Cook macaroni until done, drain and add to meat cheese mixture in frying pan and stir and mix thoroughly. Add a few strips of cheese on top and croutons if desired and bake in oven at 350 degrees for 10 minutes. Serve directly from pan.

Depending on size of casserole portions can serve 4 to 6 people (There will be seconds)
